April is Alcohol Awareness Month!

Perhaps you just need to cut back on your drinking in the interest of better help. Perhaps you feel that it would be best for you to stop drinking alcohol PERIOD. Whatever your reason, we’re here to support you! Make a commitment in April to rethink the drink in the way that is best for you and we’ll be right there with you! We know you can do it!

Where do you go when you’re stressed and need help?

Do you turn to harmful substances when you’re feeling down? We encourage you to find that supportive friend you can lean on in times of trouble. It’s not always easy to ask for help, but it is the healthiest decision you could make. Another option is to seek professional help in the form of counseling. If you’re troubled or you’ve been experiencing a lot of anxiety, depression, or other mental and emotional symptoms or conditions, turning to alcohol or other drugs is the worst step you could take and will only make you feel bad in the long run. Take care of yourself and choose the healthy route!

Seriously. Whenever the last time was that you had an alcoholic drink, let it be your true last time. Alcohol dependence can lead to untold horrors in your life and there are so many healthier ways to take care of yourself than to numb your emotions in drinks. Or better ways to have fun than partying with alcohol. Find those healthier ways to have fun and to practice good self care and you’ll be on your way to an all-around healthier life! We know you can do it.
