This year, what are you most thankful for? It’s easy to give trite answers around the Thanksgiving table, but we really want you to think. Have you stayed sober for a longer period of time than you ever have? Give thanks and celebrate! Have you made a commitment to avoid alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, and other harmful drugs? Celebrate and give thanks! We are so proud of you and all of your accomplishments this year! Look forward to 2020 and pave a way for your own best future!
Are you a tobacco user? You may want to find a program to quit smoking / dipping / etc. ASAP. Prolongued tobacco use can lead to addiction to the nicotine present in the drug as well as many types of cancers, emphysema, etc. Take charge of your health today and stop your tobacco use!
Are you tempted to use marijuana? You may want to rethink that. Marijuana can have a variety of effects on young adults and adults alike. It can impair judgement, coordination, balance, mood, etc. It can also lead to dependence and addiction when misused. We hope that you’ll rethink any potential use of marijuana this week and do some research on its effects!
How do you stay motivated to continue in your sobriety journey? It can be difficult to maintain a strong conviction when “everyone else is doing it.” A lot of people drink alcohol and consume other harmful drugs, but you can be strong in your plan to rethink the drink! We believe in you!
