This week, we’re focusing on opioids. Opioids have been used medically for a long time to treat the body, but when they are misused, they can become incredibly dangerous–leading to addiction and even death due to overdose. Take these messages to heart and choose your health over momentary satisfaction.
We encourage you to think about these messages and questions and use their positivity to help you make wise choices as you go into this next week. Be wise! Be responsible. Rethink the drink and choose health!
Have you ever tried to feel better by taking drugs? It won’t help in the long run. You’ll just end up either physically ill or mentally altered. Drugs won’t solve your problems or magically make your challenging life circumstances disappear. It is better to leave them alone altogether and choose healthier ways of coping with stress like exercise, social interactions, or talking with a counselor. These activities, may cost you monetarily, but they will also lift your spirits in ways that are beneficial for your body and mind. Choose health today and rethink your use of harmful drugs!
This 4th of July, make a pact with yourself to rethink the drink and all other drugs that might be available or offered to you. Be a good role model if you’re a teen looking to impact your friends positively. If you’re an adult, be the example for the younger generation to follow. Have a happy, safe 4th!
